March 15, 2026: Graypool—Transportation

Graypool is not a neighborhood that is much visited by outsiders, but it's certainly not entirely off the main travel routes. A highway [I probably ought to name the highways, but naming that still innominate river is probably a higher priority] runs along the northern edge of the neighborhood, and there are several subway stops in Graypool. In fact, two subway lines run through Graypool, crossing at Jerel Station at the neighborhood's northern border: the Wolf Line running east to East Island and west to the City Center, and the Elk Line running north to the Glades and south to the Quarters.

Within the neighborhood, the roads are for the most part smooth and well maintained, if not particularly broad. Most of the roads in Graypool are not paved by conventional methods, but are hardened through magic to achieve the same effect, and in fact Graypool may have the best road surfaces in Lüm. Aside from their width, the biggest downside of Graypool's roads is their often circuitous or winding nature; Graypool grew as the forest was felled and did not have a centrally planned design, and few of its roads run straight for any great length.
