Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License
All material in the mainspace of the Wongery wikis is released under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License. This allows you to freely use, adapt, and expand upon any of this material however you see fit, including for commercial projects, subject to the following conditions:
- You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made.
- You must release any derivative works under the same license, meaning that it will also be freely available to others under the same term.
You can see more details about the license, including the exact legal text, in the links at the bottom of this article.
The Grandmaster Wongers also intend to release this material under a second license, the Akinetic Media License, which does not have the ShareAlike terms of the CC-BY-SA license but which only applies to certain media. However, this license does not exist yet, pending the Grandmaster Wongers having the money to hire lawyers to draft it.
Attribution Text
The following is a sample license and attribution notice that can be used in a derivative work drawing upon an article in the Central Wongery:
- This work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 Unported License. It uses material from the article "[Article Name]" on the Wongery, [Article URL], which is the property of [Article's Contributors].
The article's contributors can be found by looking at the page's history. If there are multiple contributors, you can just list "the Grandmaster Wongers" as the article's contributors for an article in the Central Wongery, or "Public Wongery contributors" for an article in the Public Wongery. If your work draws on many articles, rather than credit them all individually you can use a license and attribution notice similar to the following:
- This work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 Unported License. It uses material from the Wongery, http://www.wongery.com, which is the property of the Wongery's contributors.
